Mega Church Pastor Reveals the One Principle That Turned a $200 Seed Into a Multi-Million Dollar Ministry

When Dr. Bill Winston stepped out in faith with nothing more than a $200 seed and a vision from God, few could have imagined the ripple effect it would have across the globe. Today, Living Word Christian Center spans a 33-acre campus, broadcasts to over 800 million households, and trains thousands of entrepreneurs through the Joseph Business School. But behind this explosive growth lies one unshakable principle—faith that acts.

In an exclusive sermon titled “Faith to Possess the Land,” Dr. Winston recently shared the pivotal moment that transformed his life and ministry. “I didn’t wait for provision to show up before I moved. I moved, and the provision showed up,” he said, his voice rising with conviction. “God gave me a vision, and I put feet to that vision.”

That $200, he explains, was sown not out of abundance, but in obedience. “It was all I had left after bills. The Lord said, ‘Sow it into the Kingdom.’ I gave it, believing God would multiply it. Not just for my sake, but for the people I was called to reach.”

Dr. Winston’s story challenges the conventional wisdom of playing it safe. His background as a decorated U.S. Air Force fighter pilot and a successful IBM executive gave him a promising career track—but he walked away from it all to pursue what he believed was a higher calling. “People thought I was crazy to leave a corporate salary for a calling,” he said. “But when God calls, He also equips. And faith is the bridge between calling and manifestation.”

The turning point came when he began applying biblical principles of the Kingdom—not only in his spiritual life, but also in business and leadership. “We teach people that faith isn’t passive. Faith is a force. It’s supposed to dominate circumstances, not bow to them.”

At the Joseph Business School, which he founded in 1998, Winston teaches entrepreneurs to combine sound business strategy with Kingdom ethics. The curriculum blends finance, marketing, operations, and prayer. “We don’t just train businesspeople—we train kingdompreneurs, people who will transform industries with integrity, vision, and supernatural backing.”

The results speak for themselves. Graduates of the school have launched successful ventures across the U.S., Africa, and Asia. Many credit Winston’s teachings on “faith in action” as the catalyst for their breakthroughs.

When asked what separates stagnant believers from those who walk in power, Winston doesn’t hesitate. “It’s revelation,” he says. “Most people know the Word, but it hasn’t become reality to them. The moment you see yourself the way God sees you—as more than a conqueror—that’s when everything changes.”

He also emphasized the need for boldness. “Faith isn’t silent. Faith speaks. It declares things that don’t exist as though they do—and then expects them to manifest.”

As for the $200 seed? “That wasn’t a donation,” he smiles. “That was an investment into my future. And I’m still reaping the harvest.”

Today, Dr. Winston continues to mentor leaders, publish books, and preach around the world. His message remains simple but profound: Believe big, act boldly, and never limit God.
